'The United Kingdom Has A Wealth Of Artistic & Design Talent Of Which We Must Be Proud' Amanda Charteris, Founder

Started early in 2009, Gift Wrapped & Gorgeous was created from the sheer determination and tenacity of business founder Amanda Charteris. As a successful Wedding Stylist and Planner Amanda often came into contact with talented designer makers and she soon discovered that most of the designers find the world of marketing and media very intimidating and time consuming. What they all had in common was passion for their work and commitment to work to the highest of standards resulting in a finish and veneer second to none. What they also all had in common was that they were UK based and for many different reasons unable to promote their beautiful products to the UK public and media by themselves, finding the world of marketing and pr both time consuming and intimidating.

And so they remained hidden...that is until now!!!

Amanda met her business partner Alison Griffiths at a wedding fayre where Alison was showcasing her beautiful wedding jewellery designs. Amanda was drawn to one of the pieces which was a stunning handmade Swarovski Crystal Wedding Bouquet which contained over 700 crystals and she just had to find out more about the person who had designed and made such a beautiful item.

The two women struck up a strong friendship and as both of them share the same passion and enthusiasm for design as well as a strong work ethic, they combined forces to launch Gift Wrapped & Gorgeous and are now totally committed to marketing and promoting UK based Designer Makers and to provide the British Public with a fabulous selection of unusual and unique gift ideas made with love from the UK. Gift Wrapped & Gorgeous do their very best to help you give gifts without guilt and try to conduct our business in an ethical manner, actively seeking fair trade products and to seek long-term sustainable solutions for the benefit of people and nature.
