Stunning cuff style bracelet made from bead weaving with sea glass inset. This bracelet is my show piece. Each tiny bead is attached separately to create a fabric of beads, unlike my other pieces there aren't many vintage beads in this one, the Japanese laser cut ones are perfect for this kind of work as they fit so beautifully together. The bracelet is gathered in places, to echo the waves, and there is a section which curls over like a wave, with white beads and crystal embellishments. The four pieces of sea glass are stitched into a mount of beads, with a fine leather backing which is then incorporated into the woven bead fabric. The fastener is a hand made silver shell, cast from a mould of a real shell, with a silver wire loop to create a button which fastens into a button hole woven into the fabric. Stunning and unique, a sculptural piece which could almost be displayed as art, this bracelet is not for the shy and retiring.
