The colours in nature inspire me. The iridescent colour of a dragonfly in flight , the magnificent plumage of a peacock in full display. The natural array of colours in a floral garden in full bloom. Colours are meant to catch the eye. I wish to capture in my work eye catching elegance that can be worn.” Dichroic glass captures all these effects and it is a wonderful medium to work with. The results are not always predictable from the onset, colours and textures change during firing. How they are worn can also change the effect of the pieces, complimenting the wearer. Enjoy wearing the piece as much as I enjoy making it.
